After working with Checkout.com on its London headquarters, AIS was engaged to deliver a new office for the global fintech leader in the Estonian capital, Tallinn. Following the pre-construction stage, AIS engaged a local, trusted contractor to help deliver the project alongside the AIS team.
By moving into a newer building in the capital and increasing its floorplate across two floors, Checkout.com wanted to create an office which delivered the perfect balance of work, rest and play for its talented team. Central to the plans were a dining and entertaining space and an events space for colleagues and clients. The dining space includes a large island which acts as a gathering point for the team to come together. The area offers a combination of coffee shop style seating and high tables to encourage interaction away from people’s desks. The event space follows the blueprint of the London headquarters with seating for town hall meetings or client presentations.
Checkout.com wanted to ensure that staff using the workplace have spaces to enjoy during their downtime, so AIS included a gaming corner equipped with consoles to allow the team to switch off and engage in some healthy competition. For people looking for a quieter space to relax, there is also a library area with softer seating and lighting.
As a global player in the digital economy, connectivity was key for Checkout.com. The new workplace includes six meeting rooms, each equipped with state-of-the-art AV facilities to deliver seamless international client calls.
